A: Spray tanning is a process in which a colourless sugar (DHA based) is sprayed onto your skin via a handheld airbrush system. The DHA reacts with the amino acids in the outermost (Epidermis) layer of your skin to create a natural tan. As these skin cells are naturally exfoliated, the colour gradually fades - much like a real sun tan. The solution applied has a cosmetic bronzer that allows us to see exactly where the solution is being placed. here

A: Not at all. At Schulz Beauty, we customize every formula to your skin tone to ensure the most natural-looking glow possible. We don’t do one-size-fits-all tans—and we definitely don’t do oompa loompa.

A: We recommend wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing to prevent rubbing and minimize any transfer while your tan is developing. Avoid anything tight—like jeans or leggings—as they can cause uneven fading or marks. It’s also best to skip the bra right after your session to keep your tan flawless.

A: The application itself takes just 4–5 minutes, with a few extra minutes for drying. From start to finish, you’ll be glowing and out the door in about 15–20 minutes. Unless you feel like hanging out—we’re always up for good company.

A: Your spray tan will last about 5 to 10 days and fades gradually throughout this time period. Everyone's skin naturally exfoliates itself at different rates, so it's hard to determine exactly when yours will fade completely. The longevity of your tan depends on how fast your body's exfoliation process is, as well as how well you maintain your tan. We highly recommend moisturizing frequently (2x a day) to help extend the life of your tan, and keep your skin hydrated. Extended hot showers, shaving, and waxing speeds up your skins natural exfoliation process, and will shorten the length of your tan. To prevent fading it is important to exfoliate your body well prior to your spray tan.

Ideally, 2-3 days before your event. This gives your tan time to fully develop and settle for the most natural, even finish—especially for weddings, photoshoots, or vacations.

24Karat: Rinse after 8–12 hours.

Glow on the Go: Rinse in 2–6 hours depending on your desired depth.

In the Clear: Goes on clear (no bronzer), ideal for bridal.

Avoid long, hot showers and exfoliating after your tan. Moisturize daily with a tan-safe lotion (we can recommend our favorites) and avoid pools, saunas, and harsh products like AHAs or retinol.
